Welcome to the forum, you say you are struggling with symptoms which implies you blood glucose is high. Would you like to say a bit more about how long you have been diagnosed, what your HbA1C is, are you on any medication as that will help people help you.
What specific symptoms are you getting, if you are willing to share.
Diet is usually the first thing that needs to be addressed in order to reduce your blood glucose but how much work will be indicated by what your HbA1C result is, if you don't know then you should ask.

Belly fat in essence is no different to the fat anywhere else on the body except that once it starts to build up around the internal organs (any and all of them) it hampers those organs from functioning efficiently - and eventually if we do nowt about it - at all! On the assumption that most of us usually do wish to stay alive - then we have to fully understand why the NHS doesn't like any of us to be overweight.

The first thing is to try and lose whatever excess weight/fat that we happen to have and diet is a very important part of this. What advice have you already had about your diet and how have you changed your diet so far, to attempt to do this?
