Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
Hi everyone, I’m a newbie on this site and was diagnosed T2 11 weeks ago. I’ve not had any support from my GP and I’ve mostly had to learn for myself. I’ve lost 22lbs by cutting out all sweets things and watching my carbs, but still got a long way to go. My mmol is averaging 6.5. I have had my eye test and that came ok. I guess that’s all for now!

Hi and welcome from me too.
Fantastic weight loss so huge "WELL DONE" on that front and 6.5 is a great average, so it looks like the changes you are making are having a very successful effect.
Just curious about you having selected "MODY" as your type of diabetes. MODY is quite rare and you mention Type 2 as your diagnosis in your intro, so wondering if you accidentally hit the wrong choice when you were setting up your profile? If so, it might be helpful to change your profile to show Type 2 to save confusion, but in either case, you are very welcome and feel free to ask for advice on anything you get stuck with.

Welcome to the forum @Flash

Congratulations on the weight loss. What an amazing start.
Whatever changes you have made they are working.
Do you have any top tips for others?

If you tap on your ‘name’ you will then see a tab which gives you the option to edit your profile, and you can switch it to T2.

Thanks for the info. All done now.

I‘ve got no real tips for weight loss apart from being really strict with yourself. No cake, chocolate, biscuits etc. Good luck everyone
