Hi. I’m posting for the first time just to say hello really. I’m diet controlled at the moment so looking for recipes and hints when going out. Hope to hear from you all soon!

Welcome to the site.
I have just come across this website with low carb recipes of all sorts.
stepawayfromthecarbs.com
but there are lots of recipes on the site scattered in various threads.

Thank you. It’s all very new to me yet

Welcome to the forum @Bee!

Glad you have found us.

How long have you been diagnosed? And how did your diagnosis come about?

We have a recipes thread in the ‘Food and Carb’ section of the forum, along with plenty of threads and discussions about different foods and approaches to eating.

There is no ‘one size fits all’ approach here, and while many members find it can help their BG management to moderate or reduce their carb intake, everyone is different, and each individual has to work out what works for them, as people’s reactions to foods can differ wildly! 🙂

Ask away with any questions you may have, nothing will be considered too obvious or ‘silly’ 🙂

Hi. Thank you for your reply. I was diagnosed in February. Had gestational diabetes with both pregnancies so always had a higher risk of developing diabetes. I’m type 2. I’ve got my HbA1c down to 49 so hopefully I can stay diet controlled. Unfortunately another health condition means I can’t eat seeds and I need to follow a low fibre diet! That’s why I’m looking for help with recipes
