Relationship to Diabetes
Type 1
Hi everyone, finally plucked up courage to join this site. I have had Type 1 diabetes for 25yrs , insulin controlled (4 inj daily). Have been doing a lot of research into insulin pumps. so this is what I'm really interested in. Am off to walk the dogs so I'll be back soon to have a good ol' browse.

Cheers

Hi pin and welcome to the forum, theres a pumping section on here so have yourself a browse around some members have been on pumps a while and others only a matter of days and weeks so they will be good to talk to .Enjoy the walk hope its you that takes them and not the other way around lol.🙂

Hi Pin Cushion,

Welcome to the mad house or what I should really say is an extended family. I've been type one for fourteen years and started on a pump on Monday this week. I've noticed a difference already. I'd really say that oyu should put in as much reading as possible and talk to us on here. We've got folks who use Veos from Medtronic as I do, those who use Roche pumps and one or two who use Animas pumps.

No questions is too daft to ask here and I hope we can be of some assistance,

Tom

Hi Pin...I am a pumper (of 5months) and happy to talk pumps with you....everyone here is great...so def have a browse:D

Have a nice walk, might get some fresh air in a bit too...if it doesn't rain! x

Hi pin cushion - love the name.

Are you on a pump or just interested in getting one? Where abouts in Scotland are you? I am currently on the pump waiting list at the ERI in Edinburgh.

Rachel

Hi Pin cushion

Welcome to the forum.

Hi pin cushion, welcome to the forum 🙂 Anything you're unsure of, just ask!

Thanks for the welcome🙂

I'm not on a pump, but think I would benefit a lot from having one. I'm on the west coast of Scotland, Argyll & Bute...I think it comes under NHS Highlands.

Am off to browse the threads and then settle down for TVs Ashes to Ashes. x
