Hi all
Diagnosed back in late may with a blood test reading of 120.
Change of diet and regular gym sessions have lost me 5 stone , and my last blood test two weeks ago had a reading of 41 .
A massive change meaning going from four Metformin a day to just two and none by January.
Another 10kg to go (mainly abdominal)

Hello Lee, welcome to the forum. Wow you have done really well.

Wow! 5 stone in 5 months!

Hi Lee,
Welcome from a fellow newbie. Sound like a man on a mission - and succeeding - to me. Good luck to you, hope you hit that January target!

Was 158kg now 125kg carried the weight quite well as I am 6'5" and large framed .the losses are slowing because I am now putting muscle mass on which is heavier than fat . Gym work now isolating abdominal to shed fat , use whey isolate protein as it has very little carb content.
My biggest failing was drinking huge amounts of juice , processed convenience food and little exercise.
Sensible eating , exercise (gym every day sometimes twice a day) works for me
I was quite shocked when I got my my blood results was aiming for a count of 60ish

Impressive, Lee....

My biggest failing was drinking huge amounts of juice , processed convenience food and little exercise.
That's a huge problem with a lot of people.... Hence the crisis we are in today!!!

so aiming for 110kg then right? Have you changed your diet drastically (beyond cutting the stuff you mention)? or mainly just gym?

Diet has changed no juice , cabonated drinks no biscuits cake white bread , ready meals binned cut back on cheese . All ways watched salt intake
Grilled lean meat salad , steamed veg now
Don't really drink alcohol much anymore
In fact I am enjoying the lifestyle change.
