Hi people! Im new to the boards, I found the address in the magazine and thought i should sign up!

Ive been a diabetic (type1) since 1992! i was around 8 or 9 then, now im 25 and still here (so cant be doing too bad) but things are not always simple, infact they never seem simple.

I hope to read over the boards and contribute as much as i can!

thats all for now :D

Hi Anthony, and welcome!

You're right - just when I think I've got things cracked, up comes another factor that I have to consider - sometimes I think you need a Phd to work out how much insulin to give, what with carbs, exercise, GI, illness, time of day, temperature...I could go on!

Welcome Anthony, nice to see another Norwich person on here, before I joined I didn't know a single other diabetic locally but there seems to be a fair few of us on here.

I was diagnosed as type 1 about 4 years ago at the age of 21. Like you I seem to manage most of the time but things always go wrong every now and then!

I'm actually looking for another young (18-30) diabetic locally for something I'm working on, I'll send you a message about it later (not sure I can use the messaging bit while at work!)

Hope you get a lot out of the boards.

Amy
