Relationship to Diabetes

diagnosed in sept last year with glucose intolerance/borderline diabetes no help from docs just told to use gi diet and see you in 12 months for a repeat test could do with some help and advice.:(

Did you have a blood test? If not I would ask for one....www.diabetes.org.uk is a goldmine in terms of information - helped me no end. They have all sorts - what diabetes is, what treatment to expect and what you can do in terms of diet and exercise. I was diagnosed last September too and am diet and exercise controlled at the moment. These boards are also full of good advice - so ask away.
