Hello Siobhan, welcome! 🙂 There are lots of lovely parents on here to help with whatever you're struggling with. If you post any specific issues in the Parents forum, they will come back with what works for them in the circumstances.

Hi Siobhan, welcome to the forum 🙂 What insulin regime is your daughter on? Is she coping OK with the tests and injections? You might be interested in getting a support and information pack for people with a recent diagnosis of type 1 diabetes from JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) - all free! Also, I would highly recommend getting a copy of Type 1 Diabetes in Children, Adolescents and Young People by Ragnar Hanas - a really excellent and comprehensive guide to all aspects of living with Type 1.

In addition to our own parents section, you might like to take a look at the Children with Diabetes website, which has hundreds of families with a wide range of knowledge and experience.

Please feel free to ask any questions you may have and we will do our best to help! 🙂
