Hi all, today i have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, feeling a bit lost.

Hi Lissy, welcome to the forum 🙂 I imagine all sorts are going through your mind at the moment, but try not to get overwhelmed by everything. Sometimes, a diagnosis can help people to much better health and happiness by making them take stock of their health and situation, so there can be some positives from this 🙂

I would highly recommend having a read of Jennifer's Advice and Maggie Davey's letter and getting hold of a copy of url="http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/1841198048?ie=UTF8&tag=poemforactidi-21&linkCode=as2&camp=1634&creative=19450&creativeASIN=1841198048"]Type 2 Diabetes: The First Year[/url] by Gretchen Becker. These resources have helped many of our members come to terms with their diagnosis and start to make the changes required to get their diabetes under control.

You'll get lots of help and support from the people here who understand exactly what you are going through, so let us know if there is anything we can help you with 🙂

not really been given any advice by GP, got to have another blood test on tuesday to see what my levels are. GP said diabetic nurse will contact me soon.
