Relationship to Diabetes
Type 1
I ve had Type 1 diabetes for 33 years, with a few problems but generally been ok. In the 33 years of having this illness I have never met anybody else with it!!! At present feel like a fighting a loosing battle :(. Would be nice just to hear from someone else with the illness.

What insulin regime are you on?
 
Hi dools, welcome to the forum 🙂 This forum was actually founded by a lady who was in exactly the same situation as you - over 30 years with T1 and never met another one! Well, there are plenty of us here so I'm sure you'll find lots to talk about. If you have any questions, ask away - nothing is considered 'silly' and just because you've been diagnosed a long time you're not expected to know everything! What insulin regime are you on? Do you carb count?

We have also had quite a few 'face-to-face' meets up and down the country, so it might be something you are interested in attending if there's one near you - keep an eye on the Events section.

I look forward to hearing more from you 🙂

I take Nova-rapid at meal times and Glygeime at night (dont know how to spell that lol) x

Yeah I carb count, well try to lol not always easy. I take nova rapid at meal times and then slow release insulin at bed time. I would love to meet someone face to face so will check the events. Thank you x

Have you ever been offered on to a DAFNE course....

No i havent, I ve heard about them but never been offered. Have you? If yes was it helpful?
