Hello! Thanks for letting me join this informative forum, I look forward to reading your posts!

Welcome to the forum, was your diagnosis recent?

And welcome to the forum from me as well - enjoy.....
.

How are you managing your condition, diet? medication ? What is your HbA1C. A bit more information will help people with any questions you may have.
Welcome also.

Hi! I was diagnosed last October. A bolt out of the blue. No meds at that time just lifestyle changes. My last bloods revealed its worked and my glucose levels are well controlled. I have to work more on cholestrol and I will! I don't want statins unless it's a last resort
Sadly it's already affected my eyes so they are now on a maintenance plan to stop further damage
.

Welcome to the forum @Hamilton

Great to hear your glucose levels have responded to the changes you’ve made. Sorry to hear you’ve had some changes in your eyes. Sometimes these can be temporary if you have rapidly improved glucose levels in a short timeframe, or may be able to be held steady with your improved glucose levels reducing the risk of progression.

I do hope so! I've got CRVO in one, that seems the better of the two for vision. The right had a very dense catarract, removed in January bur I've since been diagnosed with DM and recently a CDM as well. I have injections for both.
