Relationship to Diabetes
Type 3c
Hi everyone, I have regularly followed the forum posts but have now registered with the site. I am a type 3 having had most of my pancreas removed in 2016, following an acute pancreatitis episode in which my pancreas decided to consume itself! The cause remains unidentified. I now take NovoRapid and Tresiba, along with creon, for digestion, and a multitude of other medicines. I carb count and have recently moved from using Mysugr to Diabetes M to assist in calculating bolus dosages.

I like to think I control my diabetes rather than it controlling me. Having said that, I have the usual inexplicable glucose levels from time to time!

Glad that you've joined us @Peebee from another 3c with not much pancreas remaining following pancreatitis.

I"ve given up trying to control my diabetes and just do my best to manage it. That slight change in thinking, suggested here on the forum, has helped me when those levels are not following my plans!

Do let us know if there is anything we can help with.

And welcome from me @Peebee to the forum, another T3c when I surrendered my panc'y to total removal to address the pancreatic cancer that was swallowing my panc'y. I also take NR and Tresiba, along with Creon (lots), Omneprazole and vitamin D. So far nothing else. Like many others here I also don't aspire to control my D - just manage it.

Welcome to the forum @Peebee

Glad you have de-lurked 🙂

Hope you find it helpful to be able to share experiences with others here.

Keep firing away with any questions you have 🙂
