Good job on losing the 2st, that's like 12kg which is quite the accomplishment. What are you metrics now (height, weight, waist, BMI etc?) I was told on this forum that if you can get your BMI down to 22, diabetes has a very hard time surviving, so aim for that BMI I say. I'm one to believe this beast can be slain.

Hi JOHNG2307, welcome to the forum.

Congratulations! You've done well so far to improve your health which is a great start.

I think food is one of the most tricky parts of the journey for type 2's so you're not alone. As you may have realised, there are no 'diabetic foods', it really depends on how your meals impact your blood sugar levels which you can test using a glucose metre.

If you take the low carb approach, for example, you can have a look at which food options work well for you and build a meal plan around that.

It's not unusual to get leaner when you eat in a way that works well for your body so it may not need to be as complicated as it feels.

We've got a really good food section so do have a look at what other type 2's are experimenting with and let us know if we can help in any way.
