How did you get on with the ambulance?

I suspect the call handler with NHS111 may have been concerned you were hypoglycaemic, and recommended fast acting carbohydrates in case your BG levels were dangerously low. The symptoms you described did sound quite a bit like a hypo, but sometimes you can get these feelings when your BG levels are still in a healthy place (especially if they have been running high for a while and are returning towards a healthy range) - so it's best to check with a BG meter to be sure.

I don't think NHS 111 meant that you should be having sugar in tea and eating spoonfuls of jam generally! 🙂
