@BathingApe I'm afraid that the apple, banana, crisps and rice are all contributing to higher glucose levels if you are having them on a daily basis.
With the medication you are on you might need to have more carbs throughout the day to prevent going very low glucose, but I'd really advise going for lower carb options and more bulk than the foods you are choosing at present.
I manage to keep a fairly low HbA1c, but my breakfast today was sausages and bacon. I'd have had eggs as well but wasn't all that hungry.
I find that the frozen stir fry from Lidl, also the frozen mixed veges (the one without sweetcorn) and mixed berries are staples in my diet, along with Greek style full fat yoghurt, plus things such as mushrooms, eggs, and all sorts of meat and fish - oh and cheeses. It is a great diet, and I can get by without medication - plus I am still changing shape and getting stronger, in recovery from the advice to eat carbs which I had for so long.
