Relationship to Diabetes
Type 1
Hi there

I am a newbie to the forum. I have been type 1 since 1980 so an old hand as they say but always learning.

I am currently using Lantus & Humalog.

Got to be honest I have never had the courage to sign up to a forum before but thought I would be brave & give it a go!

Thanks

Pam

Welcome to the forum Pam, I hope you find it an enjoyable place to hang out, make new friends and share experiences, there's a great bunch of people here 🙂

Hi Pam, welcome to the forum, I'm glad you plucked up the courage to join! 🙂 We have a lot of members who have been diagnosed long-term and I'm sure you'll find a lot to talk about with them and us relative newbies (I've been diagnosed 4 years!) 🙂 It can also be surprising what you might learn from the more recently diagnosed, with new treatments and knowledge emerging all the time. If you're still boiling your syringes and sharpening your needles on an old piece of flint, then a whole new world will open up for you 😉 On the other hand, you might have a good team and be right up to date!

I look forward to hearing more from you 🙂

Welcome to the forum Pam 🙂

Thanks Northerner. Learning new things even now. My young Niece was only diagnosed 2 years ago herself (type 1 again) so was surprised what my Brother was told even then. Don't miss the boiling of the syringes though! Nightmare days!

Pam hi and a warm welcome to the forum, you will soon see we are a fun and friendly bunch x

Hi Pam

Welcome to the forum. Sure you'll fit right in!

There are a few members with as many year under their belts as you, and some relative newcomers with a mere 20-odd years of ahem 'diabetes fun' 🙂
