Type 2
Hey people, 36 year old male recently diagnosed with type 2, on metformin and sugar was 52 at diagnosis. Struggling a little and overwhelmed with the amount of appointments etc. Recently bought a glucometer for peace of mind. Not sure when to test such a mind field. Help lol

Recommended test times are first thing in the morning, and to test how you tolerate a meal then just before you eat and 2 hours after starting to eat.

You're hoping to see numbers in the range of 4-7 mmol/l for first thing and before meals, and for after meals a rise of no more than 2-3 mmol/l from the before meal reading, preferably under 8.5 mmol/l
