Hi @DaPa and welcome to the forum 🙂 Well done on the low carb and the weight loss. Hopefully you can get below pre-diabetic levels just by diet and exercise. My sister was pre-diabetic for several years (though didn't need to lose weight like I did) and it wasn't until I was diagnosed and she saw the dramatic drop in my hba1c by going low carb that she decided to give it a go. Last test she was down to 41, just under pre-diabetic levels.

This forum will also hopefully give you the motivation to keep on with the good work you are doing. It's been a life saver for me. Good to have you on board 🙂

Welcome to the forum @DaPa

Well done for holding a diagnosis with diabetes at bay for the last few hears. And great to hear about the weight loss from your low carb eating plan too! 🙂

Ask away with any questions you may have. We are a friendly bunch, with centuries of lived diabetes experience between us, and nothing will be considered too obvious or silly.

Latest HbA1c dated 04/06/21 - 39.

Previous HbA1c dated 29/04/21 - 48.

I have also lost 15lbs, this was achieved through low carb diet, I am pleased with the result.

Out of curiosity what is the lowest HbA1c been recorded?

39 is in the normal range but how much lower could I possibly get it to?

I've used diet and exercise to get from 108 to 36. I am sure i have seen some people achieve 20s on this forum. But you have done well and should be pleased with your result. As you say its within normal range.
