Great if it's winter and you have a Rayburn/Aga 'always on'. Otherwise one can't possibly put the oven on for a single egg!!! Does it microwave? That would be ideal.
But I agree about the 'four smaller meals' (I think that is what you suggest?) rather than the traditional B/L/D with very ofen a big gap between B and L, or L and D. Getting hungry is dangerous - weakens our self-discipline.
One thing I always recommend for those on salad lunches - prep them immediately after breakfast if you can (ie, if you are in the house). Salads usually take some time to assemble the ingredients, and I've found in the past that if I have a busy morning, by the time lunchtime arrives I'm starving (!), so simply can't wait to faff about with a salad, and instead stick a couple of slices of toast in the toaster and open a can of soup (or whatever.)
But, if I've already prepped and assembled the salad and then just set the plate/dish aside (covered in cling-film as necessary) and all Iv'e got to do is pour the dressing over it, then that wards off the rush towards toast/convenience food.
