Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
Hello, my name is Rachael. I'm 48 & from Ipswich . I was diagnosed type2 about 8 yrs ago. Its been a struggle to accept and control my condition, so I've joined you lovely people in the hope of finding support and others who understand. I'm looking forward to chatting with you xxxx

Welcome to the forum.
Would you like to say a bit about how you manage your condition, diet, medication, do you have weight to lose and what your latest HbA1C is as that will help people make appropriate suggestions.
What works for one person may not be suitable or work for others.
Sometimes things can have been going quite well but something changes in the way the body is responding and additional measures may be needed, sometimes just tightening up on the diet by reducing carbohydrates or a change of medication may be needed.
If you have any questions then ask away.

Welcome Rachael! If you want to join in there is a "morning" chat thread (can be chatting there through the day) in General - 7 day waking average - there isn't an actual average taken any more and it isn't essential to post a blood glucose reading to join in the chat. If you have specific questions/areas that you want support then you can either post your own thread in an appropriate category or contribute towards a recent thread on that topic

Welcome to the forum @rachy75

Sorry to hear you’ve found diabetes tough to get along with :(

It certainly can be relentless, and it’s a pretty thankless task trying to make adjustments in order to reduce potential future risks, because the best net result of all your efforts is that nothing happens.

Hope you find the forum a friendly place to share experiences, ask questions, and just feel less alone with the ongoing struggles and frustrations of life with diabetes 🙂
