Hi folks first time i have used a forum so be gentle with me, diagnosed 5 years ago but only started Insulin 5 months ago still getting used to things, thought this might be a good idea as everyone else in same boat, ok talking to friends and family but i don't think they really "get it" when it comes to understanding how it sometimes makes you feel.

Hi Carolann, welcome to the forum 🙂 Don't worry, you can't 'break' anything - if you are unsure of anything just send me a prvate message (PM - see the top right corner of the screen).

It can make a huge difference being amongst people who really do get it. Everyone is very friendly and helpful so please don't worry about asking anything! 🙂

Hello! :D I was diagnosed with type one diabetes in Feb 2000 and this is the first time i have joined a diabetes forum - not quite sure what to do!! I think it would be really good to see how other diabetics cope with every day things because i have had trouble myself!! I starting using a Animas 2020 insulin pump in July of this year and it has to be one of the best decisions i have made so far!! 🙂

Hi Carolann and Robson a warm welcome to you both, Robson if you have not already seen they is a pumping section some have been on pumps a while others in the last month to one even starting today so you will find loads of info in there

Carolann i started on byetta 3 weeks ago which is a form of injection for type 2s i have taken to it very well alot quicker then i thought, but how are you coping with the injecting?
I totally buy what you say about the family just not getting it so thats why this place is so good seeing your not alone and going through alot of simlier feelings and thougts that we all do is a real coping mechanism for me personally x

Welcome to you both ...no problems re using this forum ..find your way around ..any questions don't be afraid to ask or please contribute ...we are all in this together supporting each other so no question is regarded as silly herex🙂
