Newbie needs more info about byetta.

Hi Everyone

I'm Deb I live in Derby, I am a type 2 diabetic. I saw my specialist diabetic nurse yesterday, she has offered me Byetta. I have read all the information also looked on the website. I would love to find out the opinions of people who are already taking it.

Hi Deb, welcome to the forum. I'm a T2 on metformin/diet/exercise/weight loss myself. There will be others along soon to reply about Byetta. Hope it works for you.

Hi Deb, welcome to the forum 🙂 Many of our members have had great success with Byetta, others have had to stop taking it due to side-effects but have found that they are fine with the alternative, Victoza, so there are still options if you find you can't tolerate it well.
