Hi, we’re relatively new to type one and still finding our feet.
My daughter is 7 she has ASD and type one, things are very difficult with her sensory issues and need for consistency and continuity, major bump in the road her mobile is failing ( it was an old one of mine ) does anyone know of a mobile provider that offers reduced prices for diabetes patients needing to use phones as a part of their medical equipment?
I need to urgently replace her iPhone but the costs are crippling
Any advice will be gratefully received
Thanks

Good morning @Charlottesmum and welcome to the forum. I cannot help directly but it might be useful if you could tell us what you need the phone to do and maybe some of our members can come up with ideas.

It’s for her libre 2 readings and eventually her pump also, thanks for your speedy reply x

Hello Charlotte and welcome to the forum.
Different pumps have different phone compatibilities., so very hard to make suggestions in that dept.
You can get refurbed iPhones which come with the same guarantee as a new phone.

If you only need the phone to do libre and pump then you would be better I think looking at android phones. Obviously check compatibility with your devices but they tend to work with more than iPhone and are cheaper.

no scheme like this exists but like Sue says refurbs can be a decent price xx

I’ve managed to find her a fairly decent deal with an iPhone 12 mini through affordable mobiles, a it’s on 3, unlimited data/mins/text £28 a month for the phone and the contract
Less than £1 a day isn’t a bad deal at all
Thanks for your advice x
