Hi everyone
I was 1st diagnosed as pre-diabetic about 6 years ago & put on metformin as I also have RA so GP suggested it as I couldn't "exercise strenuously" Lost some weight & came off it about 18 months later
Now I've put that back on, but stayed OK until I have neck surgery & did way less for a few months at the end of last year. Diagnosed Type 2 around Xmas.
1st appt with Practice Nurse about this (already back on metformin) & she suggested the Remission Plan, thinking I'd say no as everyone else so far had. I thought it was a great idea - I'm a retired doctor (Paediatrics & GP trained) so I'd read the evidence & knew I haven't the energy or will power to spend months trying to keep to the Fast 800 diet on my own (I'd tried but always scuppered by social events + loss of will to keep going...)
Started 2 days ago, so will see how it goes!

Good luck with this. I suspect you'll still need willpower just to stay on this course!

Good luck, and let us know how things go 🙂
