Welcome to the forum @Snowwy and @DingoBlue

You've already had some good thoughts and suggestions from both new arrivals and old hands, you will also find some well regarded links and sourced of information here https://forum.diabetes.org.uk/board...for-people-new-to-diabetes.10406/#post-938458

Including links to affordable BG meters if you decide to examine how your food intake is affecting your BG levels. As has been said there’s no ‘one size fits all’ approach, everyone is an individual and the same foods will affect different people quite differently. Some find they only need small tweaks to moderate their carbohydrate intake, while others do better by limiting carbs further and increasing the proportion of proteins and fats. There is scientific and anecdotal evidence for both approaches - the important thing is to work out what works for you personally.

Good luck and keep us posited with how you are doing 🙂

Many thanks to all!
Now going to digest some of the helpful info on this forum and the links. Going to approach it one bite at a time!
🙂
