Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
Hi all, been off for some time, I have type two diabetes for about 12 years and struggling, am on tablets just back from doc's blood results not good so looking for help on what I can and can't eat as it all appears a mine field to me!!

Hi Ragus Welcome.
It can be very confusing esp when theirs is so much misinformation out there.
May I ask what diabetes tablets you're on and dose.
Many of us here have found that by cutting down on the fast acting carbohydrates, that our control improves.
Potatoes esp mash, pasta, rice and bread esp white. Till you find substitutes that you like , fill up on veg that grows above ground.

Many here have Burgen linseed and sunflower bread , Liddell protein rolls or a high protein bread, personally I'm fine with wholemeal bread but yo may not be

Do you test your blood glucose yourself or have you been advised not to , on here we recommend testing so yo can see how the various carbs affect you and helps you make informed changes.

Most importantly it would help if you told us what you like to eat.
