Newbie hello

Just diagnosed this week just over the pre diabetic setting 1 point 1ac blood test
That is not so bad and with some modest changes to your diet you should be able to get your blood glucose level down by your next HbA1Ctest which you should be offered in 3 months time.
Many find that by cutting out the big hitters which are the high carb foods like cakes, biscuits, sugary drinks including fruit juice and reducing portions of other high carb foods like potatoes, bread, rice, pasta, breakfast cereals, pastry, tropical fruits and basing meals on meat, fish, eggs, cheese, dairy, with lots of vegetables and salads and fruit like berries.
Have a look at this link for some ideas, meal plans and recipes based on the suggested starting point of no more than 130g carbs not just sugar per day. https://lowcarbfreshwell.com/
