Hi everyone, just joined this forum, Diagnosed type 2 in Spring 2017 with high HbA1C (89) and been up and down over the years since... not sure if it is genetic (my Mum was type 2) but I wasn't the healthiest of people... getting better now...
We're glad to hear things have been getting better recently, this is great to hear.
Was there anything that you wanted to ask of the forum community - did you have a specific reason for joining today?
If you wouldn't mind sharing a little more about your diabetes, such as any medication you're taking for this, and if you're comfortable doing so, perhaps a little about how you feel about your management - this can help us support you further, too.
The forum is a lovely community, everyone always chimes in to help each other. We even have some fun off-topic threads too, feel free to have a good nosey around the threads!
Please do ask away with any questions - we'd always say there's no question too small, and that we're very happy to help 🙂

Similar story for me. Got the A1c finally within range this year. Yes, please share more details. I'm guessing you too can lower your HbA1c with the help from others here.
Well done on the positive changes you’ve been making, hopefully you will see your efforts rewarded with improvements to your results and also your sense of wellbeing.
Do you take any medication to help with your diabetes management? Have you found a menu and way of eating which helps keep your BG levels relatively steady?
Hi everyone, thanks for the messages. I’m on metformin (4x500mg daily) and dapogliflozin (1x10mg daily) for diabetes. I was on 1mg ozempic weekly injections but due to supply issues this has just been dropped from my prescription, partly the reason I joined to see if anyone else was in the same position.
Never really got my head around diabetes and I need to so hopefully this will help.
