My Story...
Longtime reader, first time writer lol.
So just wanted to take part and put my journey out there.
I was diagnosed at the end of summer 2019, when i look back all the alarm bells was ringing but i didnt pay attention to my body. I experinced weight loss, uncontrolably neeeding to go the toilet, fatigue.
Everyonge telling me to go doctors but i ignored until i went to america for my mothers birthday and one day i couldnt make the car journey home, my bladder gave in. The next day i went to doctor and was given the news.
My BG level was 17.6 pretty decent lifestyle not the most healthy (i love a burger) but defiently no where near what i presumed bad enough to be diabetic.
After i came back to the uk, they confirmed i had Type 2 and the summary of our meeting was take this metformin 3xtimes a day (i deemed this excessive lol, i hate tablets), lose about 15kg (something i knew in my heart), clean the diet up.
October, November and December was food managed only and i got down to the BG down to the 7 region and from 2020 i went back to the gym.
So im currently exercising 3/4 times a week and have taken up intermitten fasting, i used to do it so very easy for me, and i have dropped myself to 1 tablet a day. Currently i have got my daily morning fasting level to a roughly 5.5.
I have decided to wait until my birthday in May to get my blood work done and re-evaluated. I know what i need to do, to put myself in better stead a beat it.
Has anyone else self decided on when to test and not etc?
