No, I've switched clinics recently so I'm on the waiting list for DAFNE, but I pretty much follow the principles anyway, just want to go on the course for completeness really 🙂

Welcome to the forum Gemima! 🙂

Well, I was at my clinic appt on friday and checked my labcentre bloods today, have to say I'm disappointed :( My A1c was 8.1%, down from 8.7% six months ago, but at that point I was having morning highs, which on increasing my Lantus, seemed to have rectified :( *sigh*

Heading in the right direction Gemima, I'm sure you can improve even more the next time around 🙂

thanks 🙂 maybe I'm being a bit hard on myself! I did get told off for needlessly worrying about my LDL being 0.1mmol above the upper limit! lol. Hard not to get into a funk when you try hard and don't see the results you want :S

The problem is that we get these 'perfect' numbers drilled into us so we often feel as though we have failed if we can't quite match expectations. But it is a very complex condition to manage well and fiendishly unpredctable. You can only do your best, but sometimes it's hard to find the balance between taking good care and becoming over anxious about results.
