A ?650 million medical research centre will attract the ?brightest and best? to London in the search for new cures, it was predicted today.
The Francis Crick Institute, in King?s Cross, will launch a global search for young talent as it prepares to open its doors in 2015 and conduct pioneering work on cancer, the immune system and infectious diseases.
The building, covering a million square feet and described as the most scientifically advanced ever built, is the world?s biggest research centre under one roof. It was being ?topped out? today to mark the completion of its highest point, two years after construction began.
