Welcome Don, the best thing you can do is get a testing kit. Ask your doctor, you never know they may give you one. Mine did, but many don't. In which case buy one if you can.
In the meantime I would recommend good old bacon and eggs, or high meat content sausage. I make up a big omelette then cut a chunk off it each morning, warm it, either in a frying pan or microwave, with a slice of bacon or a sausage (also pre cooked) and a spoonful of low sugar beans or chopped tomatoes. Or if you prefer, a slice of burgen bread, toasted and buttered (butter, not marg). There are lots of other options but that should keep you going for a while.
