Ooh , you're making me hungry now! There are lots of options with Indian food. Everything in moderation I suppose 🙂

I order my curries without rice and usually eat them with a spinach dish (Saag, or Saag Paneer). At home I eat curries (or Chinese food) with 'Cauliflower rice' or 'Green rice' which is ground up broccoli .

The tandoori dishes usually come with lots of salad, the dishes with lots of sauce can be quite high carb. something like a roti would be lower carb than a Naan but just have a share of someone else's.

All good ideas. Tried a pouch of cauliflower rice and hated it. I might make my own and see if if they're better. The rice and breads are the ice things that mop up the curry. I have bought some konjac rice to try, fingers crossed.

I hated it, it went in the bin, some people get on fine with it. I think you have to rinse it well as it has a fishy smell.

I just use a spoon to eat my curry so I don't particularly need something to soak up the sauce although as I mentioned, I sometimes have a couple of dessert spoons of my partner's rice if we are sharing.

50gm a day is the level at which many people have been able to resolve their problems - it seems as though it is a good starting point.
Grams of sugar are the same as grams of starch - it is all carbohydrate.
its odd isn't it if I eat more than 50g of carb a day I put weight back on. I experimented last two weeks with eating a bit more carb, and put on 3kg. Its now coming off again.

you might prefer 'slim rice' from holland and barratt/amazon. it's made of konjac and is a bit slimy until you rinse and dry it but it's quite good.

Not odd at all for me. When doing Atkins in pervious decades - more accurately centuries - I ate no more than 50 gm of carbs a day in order to maintain. Many people low carbing to control type 2 also mention 50 gm of carbs as their 'magic amount' to give control.
