Welcome to the forum from a fellow T2.

Hello @Mrs Tayebwa ,

Thank you so much for joining our online support forum. I am so sorry to hear about your recent diagnosis and can only imagine how difficult it must be for you. How are you coping? Please feel free to read some of the pages on the forum and join in on some of them.

Hi and welcome.

Have you been given any medication and dietary advice?

I wonder if living in Uganda will make dietary changes less easy than living in the UK? .... I imagine fresh veg may be widely available but not sure about dairy and many of us find cream and cheese useful foods in eating low carb?

Can you give us an idea of the sort of foods you currently eat?
Do you know what your HbA1c reading is? .. That is the blood test they use to diagnose diabetes.

Welcome to the forum @Mrs Tayebwa

Sorry to hear about your diagnosis.

Are you in an urban or more rural part of Uganda?

How have you been advised to treat your diabetes so far?

I‘ve merged your duplicate threads to avoid confusion 🙂
