Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
Hi everyone, Two weeks ago today I was rushed to hospital with abdominal pain... besides that issue I was also diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. Immediately put on IV insulin and 10 days later have returned home with a whole new issue in my life. I am taking Humulin M3 and Metformin 500 x 2 each day. I am trying to get my head around the whole diet thing and I have my first appointment with the Diabetes nurse on Monday. I am going with the low GI approach until I am told different... it seems to be agreeing with me as my levels are pretty constant each time... any help or advice would be gratefully appreciated.
Many thanks
