Hi Kinx and a warm welcome to the forum, your in the right place for support and help all the way x

Hi kinxks, welcome to the forum 🙂 I would recommend looking at our Useful links thread, in particular at Jennifer's Advice and Maggie Davey's letter. These will give you a good background to the best approach to learning how to manage your diabetes well. Also, a book that is highly recommended by all our Type 2s is Type 2 Diabetes: The First Year by Gretchen Becker - well worth the ?6 or so!

Apart from all that, there are lots of friendly, helpful people here with a wealth of experience who will be happy to try and answer any questions you may have. As you say, it's a good idea to balance the information you get from your health care team with the experiences of people who have lived with diabetes and learned how to control their blood sugars well 🙂

Do you test your blood sugars at home? If not, I would highly recommend that you do, as this is the best way to learn how different foods affect you personally and will lead to you feeling much better informed and in coltrol of the diabetes, rather than being left at its mercy!

If there's anything you'd like to know, please ask! 🙂
