Welcome @FDR 🙂 Are you happy to share the foods you’re allergic to?

Tree nuts, peanuts and egg all cause anaphylaxis so can't even risk 'may contain' products and so many healthy carbs seem to have may contain warnings

Ok, so you could have fresh meat and fish, if you eat them, along with green veg and salad items. For carbs, you could try sweet potatoes, pulses and cauliflower rice (much lower in carbs than normal rice). Snacks could be cheese and raw veg like celery and carrots, dipped in cottage cheese.

The general idea for Type 2 is that you reduce your carbs and increase your green veg to fill the gap, maybe along with protein and some healthy fats like avocado.

I’ve also done a search of the Recipes section for you. **Please note, I could only choose Nut Free so you’ll need to check for your other allergens:

Thank you, this is helpful

Welcome to the forum @FDR

Sorry to hear you have such profound allergies. That must be quite a burden.

Do you find it easier to make your own foods from scratch? So many things from factories seem to rely on the get-out clause of “may contain traces” don’t they? It’s pretty much become “made in a world which contains…” :(

I wonder if you could adapt some of these meal plans to suit your requirements?

Some members also find suggestions from the Freshwell Project useful (based at an NHS clinic).
