And he dxd me with IDDM... spec.. quering LADA

Have a complicated med history as have had cardiac probs with this...and severe depression..

Hi Jo, and welcome! Very sorry to hear of all the difficulties you've endured with your diagnosis, and it's never good to hear that someone's care has been so poor. Here's hoping that things are improving! There seems to be such a wide range of competence (or maybe incompetence) amongst healthcare teams, it does make you wonder how and if it is being reviewed at all!

Please feel free to ask any questions, there is a really helpful community here who have helped me enormously!

Hi Cataretta
I was also diagnosed as an adult, although a bit older than you were, which caused some confusion among the incompetent staff I encountered at a hospital in the Midlands (not going to be any more specific!) So much so, that I avoided hospitals for several years, but eventually ended up living in Cambridge and eventually under care of Addenbrookes, which I've found very good - mainly because they leave me alone, apart from occasional "spam" letters about getting pregnant, when I have pointed out there a a few (non-medical) practical issues.
I have also worked in Cambridge University and ARU, so feel free to PM if you want.

Thanks for your replies, if you read my other message it'll explain the probs having at the moment..

Jo x

Now that I understand the details of your current problems, I've made a few suggestions about how to manage Addenbrookes on your other thread.

Thanks for all the nice welcomes, still feeling crabby :-(
Is an lower left stomach to be concerned about when BM is 14.9mmol??

"An lower left stomach" - well I'd be worried if it wasn't there, irrespective of blood glucose. But I doubt that's what you mean. If you meant to say pain, then please phone NHS Direct for guidance - they can ask you more questions, more quickly, to give you better advice than anyone can on this board.
