Hi all
Like the heading says, new to the group but had T2 for donkeys!
Over the past 5-6 years I have been working away from home on live events and have strange hours of work, and I can be away for months at a time. This has resulted in me being without meds for as long as 7 weeks at one point, and you know what? It made zero difference to my blood sugars, they were always high. I have just returned home and found that my meds are now on weekly prescription until I go for my yearly check up, problem is, I cant get an appointment till January 9th, I fly out to Munich on January 3rd. This has been the problem for years, I have work, and the NHS is overloaded. I try in advance to book appointments but due to the nature of my work I sometimes have to cancel, but when I'm home I cant get an appointment, and round and round it goes!
That aside, I was wondering if there are many vegans on here? (I'm vegetarian, at the moment but in the process of going vegan) After talking to a sound engineer from the states he has been med free for over 3 years after going vegan and cutting processed food out of his diet, has anyone been down this route? What a long winded way of saying HI, off to trawl the various threads and see what's about.
