Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
Hi,

I'm new to the group,

I've been type 2 for 7 years but lived in denial, with a new diagnosed binge eating disorder and mental health issues....I do like to collect issues !!

About six months ago I tried to sort myself out but have had doors shut on the way at each point...however, I started Mounjaro last week, and although it's knocked me a bit with side effects, it's also have a good effect regarding my eating...

The was a fight the first day between binge eating and Mounjaro....but the latter has now prevailed !!

Any way...here for advice, support and to acknowledge what I need to do..

Nice to meet you all

Hello @Mungo, welcome.
I am firmly of the belief that nothing is quite as bad as it could be if we eat low carb. I just clocked up 8 years from diagnosis late last year, and am now around 8 years into remission.
I'm a very ordinary type 2 , so low carb, lower blood glucose, lower HbA1c, job done.
Hopefully your outcome will be just as positive.

Hello @Mungo and welcome to the forum Feel free to post as much or as litte as you like Remember no question to small/large or to silly

Hi @Mungo and a warm welcome from me too 🙂. We have lots of members with a wealth of knowledge and experience so please just ask away, we're here to help and support.

Welcome to the forum @Mungo
There's plenty of advice and support here.
We all have our good and bad days and posting on here really helps. Knowing that everyone on here just gets it, when sometimes friends and family don't always realise how much headspace it takes up.
Good luck with the mounjaro

Welcome to the forum @Mungo

Looking forward to getting to know you better, do keep asking away with any questions you have, or just use the forum as a friendly space to share any struggles and frustrations with folks who instinctively ‘get it’.

Glad to hear the Mounjaro is helping you to manage your diabetes and your disordered eating. That’s a pretty tricky combination.

Good luck, and look after yourself 🙂
