I am new to this forum. A random test two weeks ago led to the discovery that I had a blood sugar of 600mg/dl. Since then efforts are ongoing to bring it down. I hope to learn very vital lessons from people here. Many thanks

I make that 33 mmol/l - that is high.
What is being done to reduce it?
I hope we can be of use to you in getting back to more normal levels - but I would advise nothing drastic, coming down from those heights would be quite a shock if done swiftly.

Glad that you have found us, and there will be loads of help available on here. Fire away with any questions that you have. Nothing is considered silly on here. Just ask.

Hi @Daveokey

Welcome to the forum. What advice have you been given by your doctor to try and bring levels down? Are you able to test your levels at home?

Welcome to the forum @Daveokey

Sorry to hear about your very elevated BG levels. Are you an ex-pat in Africa? What is the healthcare system like in Nigeria?

Hope you can find ways to gently and steadily reduce your BG levels back towards the normal range 4-9mmol/L (70-160mg/dl) 🙂
