Relationship to Diabetes
Type 1
Hello, my name is Peter, I am 68 years old, and have had type 1 diabetes for 11 years.

Hello Peter, and welcome to the forum 🙂

There are quite a few others of us here who were late starters (diagnosed with type 1 in our 40s/50s/60s) - I was 44.

How are you managing your diabetes, are you on MDI (multiple daily injections) or a pump? Is there anything in particular you joined the forum to find out about, or was it just to chat to other people with diabetes?

I am on MDI and I joined the forum to learn from other people who have had similar experiences. I have just posted on the general messageboard.

Hi Peter and welcome from another late starter. I was diagnosed in Feb this year at the age of 55yrs so perhaps I can learn a bit from you!

Will check out your other post.

Welcome to the forum @PeterB from another late starter. I was 53 when diagnosed with T1.
I shall look at your other post in general message board.
