Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
Hi I just registered today and I am not sure what to expect. I have been confirmed as diabetic since early 2006 I think and take metformin. I used to have pain in my feet from another disorder but Diabetic Neuropathy has desensitized my feet I feel great. Podiatry on the other hand are concerned.
I have many other health conditions including heart issues and 2 heart ops.
I am 50 plus and I am patially blind so I will find it difficult to see other posts but i will do my best.

Bill

Welcome to the forum Bill!

I know what you mean about neuropathy in the feet and hands. I have the same and it is quite 'useful' when I accidentally cut myself. It doesn't hurt as much now! But atleast I still heal well.

There are plenty of people here with all sorts of experiences. I hope that you become a regular too.

Andy 🙂

Welcome to the site from me Bill, I am sure you will have lots of valuable experiences to share with us all and vice versa.......

Hi Bill, welcome to the forum 🙂 Very sorry to hear how diabetes has affected you. I hope that with your current medication you are able to maintain the sight and sensation you have. Do you test your blood sugar levels at all, and if so what sort of numbers do you get? Please feel free to ask any questions you may have and we will try our best to help 🙂
