Hi, I am new to the site and am looking for some advice and support. I have a 12wk old son who has hypoglycimia and hyperinsulism and has medication to help control this. I'm finding it stressful worrying about his sugar levels as well as the amount of milk he is taking. I am wondering if anybody is on or has children on the same medication -diazoxide?
Hi to everyone.

Hi Snowy, welcome to the forum 🙂 I haven't heard of that myself, but hopefully someone here has and will be able to help. I think our member Adrienne may know something about this as her daughter had what sounds like this when born.

Have you also tried the Children with diabetes site? http://www.childrenwithdiabetesuk.org/ It doesn't have a forum, but has an email list where you can ask your questions.

welcome to the forum ...adrienne came to mind with me aswell but i dont know if shes around at the mo ... x🙂

Hi snowy, yes Adrienne is definitely someone to talk to - and definitely get on the Children With Diabetes emailing list, it's wonderful! I'm not a parent but I read the emails and contribute where I can.

Hi Snowy

Welcome to the forum x

Hi Snowy, welcome to the forum.

Hi! welcome to the forum, we have a new baby boy (nearly 5 weeks) and it's quite complicated enough without worrying about blood glucose as well. I can deal with mine, but then I'm a bit older....

Good luck and best wishes,

R
xx
