welcome to the forum!! this is the perfect place to have a chat & moan with fellow diabetics.:D:D

Hi Casper,
Welcome to the forum - silly question i know - but what in particular is making you so fed up or is it everything about diabetes!🙂 Bev

Hello and welcome to the forum, i hope you cheer up soon. Any particular thing getting you down or just life?

Welcome! Sorry to hear that you're feeling so fed up with it, this is a great place to come to find people who understand so hope you get a lot out of it.

Thank you for your words!Fed up generally, type 1 such a pain, don't know anyone else with it nearby, so nearest & dearest don't fully appreciate what a struggle it can be.

Still, I'm alive, no complications yet , although have review next week, expect HbA1C around 8 -9 so will get told off - 'could do better'!!!

Where are you based, if you don't mind me asking. Have you looked into any local support groups or anything like that?

I'm in north Northumberland, nearest group was Newcastle, about 30miles away, don't think they still meet. Checked with doctors, they don't have support groups, but some type 2s get together. Type 1s seem a bit of a rarity - should I feel special ?????

Ha Ha of course we are special !! Ive got the same problem really, i dont know any other type 1's who live locally and non-diabetics dont really understand what it's like to live the way we do. My brother is type 1 but lives down south and does'nt have the internet, so these forums are a god send to get advice or just have a good moan.:D
