Good morning, I was diagnosed back in 2015 and always had problems with my blood sugars. I am on NovoRapid, Toujeo, forxiga, ramiprill and Atorvastatin. I went for a fibroscan on my liver yesterday and I have got Cirrhosis of the liver ( this may explain why I have been having problems with my bloods being high) I have been looking at the recommended diet as I am only 46 and it is so confusing as most of the foods are not good for diabetics. Is there anyone who is in a similar situation? Thanks in advance 🙂

Welcome @Donna1977

Sorry to hear about your liver. My blood test showed abnormalities with my liver. I'm supposed to be going for a scan. The diet side of things can get quite complex. As a starting point I have cut out all the sugar and made myself aware of carbs. I have also had a look at calories. For example bread increases my blood glucose levels more than other foods so I have one slice instead of two. Portion size is also key. I eat quite healthy food but when you eat too much you are then getting a higher intake of whatever that food consists of, if that makes sense.

Others will be able to advise more. Good luck. I hope things improve for you.

Welcome @Donna1977 🙂 Sorry to hear about your liver issues. How high is your blood sugar going? Are you adjusting your Novorapid according to the carbs you’re about to eat?
