Not been feeling at my best for the past wee while. Did one of the self tests and got a 9.1 after doing the fasting thing. Spent hours searching the web and keep getting conflicting advice. Will contact my GP in due course. My son is type 1 and should have sorted this out ages ago. Not told anyone yet.

Bless you and welcome to the forum - sorry to hear you're feeling a tad ropey. We won't be able to diagnose you but if you tell us what symptoms you've been having, we can advise you - there are plenty of wise heads and experiential learning on here (myself excepted!)

Thanks, Fatigue was the main one, and drinking a lot of fluids. This has all came about after I had got dehydrated and had to leave work and get someone to finish my work. Cramping as well in my feet. dont even know if thats related.

Going to the loo constantly? Losing weight unintentionally?

Definitely a trip to GP. In the meantime, maybe start keeping a food diary, and how you are feeling - you're particularly looking at how much carbohydrate you are eating and if there are any after effects - eg does eating pizza trigger uncontrollable thirst (that wigged me out big time!).

Cutting down on carb portions (and keeping an eye on protein intake too) may help relieve some of the symptoms until you get a diagnosis and you can replace these with full fat products - cheese, cream etc to help keep you feeling full. Others will be along with advice too - I've picked up all of this from being on this site. 🙂
