At the heart of the issue is the need for patients with diabetes to test their blood glucose levels regularly. Knowing blood glucose levels allow patients to alter their diabetes management strategy if the levels are not near the target.1 Doctors prescribe test strips to patients with diabetes to be used as part of their care plans.
