Reporting in to a fellow diabetic home location where i might be able to get a handle on Covid Symptoms but lost for guidance as somewhat confused (possibly symptom related)... Anyway.. HI EVERYONE..

Hello @Meome welcome to the forum.
Sorry to hear that you may have some symptoms.
There is a link at the top of this page which gives a lot of information about Covid, including the official view of Symptoms and what to do if you have them.
The symptoms listed are
  • new continuous cough and/or
  • high temperature
I have also heard that some people experience a sore throat, loss of appetite and strange taste and smell sensations.

If you are feeling unwell and cofused, then is might be best to call your GP or dial 111 for advice.

I hope things get better for you soon, and please keep posting and asking, we will always try to help.

Hello again @Meome,

Hello @Meome,

Thank you so much for joining the Diabetes UK community forum. The main two symptoms of coronavirus are:

  • new continuous cough and/or
  • high temperature
But if you are worried about anything else corona-related and aren't sure, please feel free to contact our helpline at 0345 123 2399 Mon-Friday 9am-6pm.

A pharmacy will have ketone testing stuff. Is there anyone who can pick up some tests for you or if not call your local pharmacy who may be able to deliver. I’m surprised the GP didn’t put a prescription in for you as it’s necessary for you to test.

Phone them back and say you don’t have any equipment to check for ketones. Hopefully they can sort a prescription for you and you can have it delivered or collected by someone else.
