Hahaha I’m with
@Sharron1 🙄 Hi
@Aceybee, welcome!
I live in Suffolk, I received my diagnosis with a 2am phone call from the duty doctor telling if I hadn’t picked up they were going to send police and paramedics to my house.....I woke up pretty quick! I asked why they might do that, to be told they had been calling me repeatedly with no joy, my blood test I’d had done that morning had come back showing a bg of 22, but as I wasn’t in a diabetic coma, could I go to my gp in the morning to get it sorted....goodnight
😱
I went to my gp next day and was told my life would never be the same now, I had type two diabetes, here is a prescription for metformin, you must get some exercise
Then I found this forum, I read and I read, I asked questions and I read some more, I changed my diet, borrowed a neighbours dog and went for walks, bought a testing kit, started a food diary and thanks to the help I got here, took control. My doctor was right, my life will never be the same, it’s better, much much better just under 4 stone lighter and a steady bg of around 5.5
